An early morning convoy up the N24 took us to our near neighbours in Ferrybank, returning the hosting favour after their visit to us earlier in the year.

Once again, the teams were split into u7s and u8s, with evenly matched numbers meaning every Piltown player got a full game to put into practice all the skills they've been diligently working on at training and at home.

Excellent scores and positional awareness made for two very entertaining encounters. Perhaps buoyed by the previous night's boxing endeavours in Croke Park, the battles were mighty, with every inch of the pitch having to be earned.

The lads are all now well primed for Thursday evening's visit from Ballyhale u7s.

We're looking forward to seeing all the lads back down for football training on Tuesday, as preparations begin for our upcoming football blitz, as we look to cap off what has been a very successful Go Games calendar.
