U16 League/Championship Round 3 – Piltown vs Kilmacow

On Monday evening, our U16s played Kilmacow in Round 3 of the League Championship. Having been on the wrong side of the result against Kilmacow in the league semi-final the last time the two sides met, our lads were determined to put in a much-improved performance and give a better account of themselves this time around.

Kilmacow started brightly and took an early lead, finding themselves 1-4 to 0-1 ahead after the opening 10 minutes. However, Piltown settled into the game and gradually began to take control, finishing the first half strongly.

Piltown came out of the blocks quickly after the break, with an early goal setting the tone for the remainder of the game. The work rate and commitment from every one of the lads was excellent, with the team battling for every ball and working tirelessly from start to finish.

Kilmacow never gave up and continued to push right until the final whistle, but Piltown kept their composure and a late goal sealed a well-deserved victory.
