On Monday evening a very young Piltown's team travelled to Clara in the opening round of the Under 16 League Championship.
Playing against a strong wind in the first half, Piltown defended superbly under sustained pressure. To finish the half level. 0-8 to 2-2
The second half remained a tight contest, but despite having the wind advantage, Piltown couldn't quite make it count. With just a point between the sides late on, Clara's goal proved the difference.

Despite the result, Piltown can take plenty positives from the game. The team's work rate and attitude were excellent throughout, especially in the very hot conditions.
