As the mercury climbed to 30 degrees this Saturday morning, it was certainly a morning of fever pitch hurling at the u8 Go Games blitz in Slieverue.
We travelled with a squad of 16 players and took on Slieverue, Tullogher-Rosbercon and Thomastown. There was also the novelty fixture of Piltown 1 vs Piltown 2. After a fiercely contested encounter, there's a wide consensus that Piltown came out on top in that one.
All our players brilliantly showcased their skills they've been working so hard on in training. With King Henry back in the headlines and talk of another rebuild, he might want to cast an eye over the talent on show this morning. All this warm-weather training is clearly paying dividends!
A huge thank you to all the coaches, players and parents for another brilliant Go Games blitz. Well done to everyone involved!
