Our u14 girls travelled to Mullinavat on Tuesday evening for their 2nd game of the league.
On a nice dry evening a fantastic game of Camogie was played out.
Piltown started well and thanks to some sharp shooting from Ellie built up an early lead. Both teams didn’t give an inch with physical battles all over the field.
A goal late in the first half gave the hosts a slender 1 point lead at halftime.
After a quick water break and pep talk, both teams took to the field for the second half.
The supporters watching on were treated to another 30 minutes of superb camogie,
Scores were hard to come by with some great defending from both sides, a great display of defensive skills with terrific hooks and blocks.
Eventually Mullinavat got on top, and thanks to a few scores in the last quarter ran out winners by 7 points.
Piltown left with their heads held high after a great fighting performance, showing plenty of heart and determination while displaying great skills.
Well done to both teams.
