U14 League Match
Piltown v Danesfort
Ref: Paul Whealan
Piltown welcomed Danesfort to Piltown for both teams' first league matches of the 2026 season.
It was the first full pitch football match for a numbers of players and all adapted well to the bigger space.
Piltown had 18 players available on the day- and played 14 on 14 in the first half to match Danesfort numbers.
We had six players scoring in the first half which gave us a comfortable lead going into half time.
We were able to make plenty of changes throughout both halves which were very welcome on the hot day.
Danesfort were reduced further to 13 players in the second half but this did not prevent Danesfort applying plenty of pressure and gave Piltown a bit of a fright before Piltown settled and saw out the game victorious.
All 18 girls got a good run and we have 8 different players on the score sheet
We must now re fix a postponed match with John Lockes but otherwise see a bit of a break before our next scheduled match
